New England

We had a wonderful trip to New England for the 4th of July. It was a New England "road trip". We started and ended in Boston and stopped at different towns in Maine along the way, including Portland, Camden, Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park), Wiscasset, Ogonquit, Kennebunkport and York to name a few. It rained most of the time, but only a drizzle and the cute towns, ocean and lighthouse views were amazing even with the fog.

We hope to go back some day and could easily spend a few days just at Acadia or sitting by the ocean in Ogunquit.

Children have a right to their privacy

All children have a right to their privacy.

* Reasons and circumstances about why a child was adopted is their story.

* It is their choice if they choose to share this personal information.

What it means…putting it in perspective

* Natural child: Any child who is not artificial

* Real parent: any parent who is not imaginary

* Your own child: any child who is not someone else’s child

* Adopted child: a natural child, with a real parent, which is all my own

Adoptive families begin in a different way, but they are families, just the same as other families.

That's what being adopted means.

I didn't come out of my mother. I don't have my father's green eyes. No one in my family looks like me. People are always surprised. I think we're a happier family Than if we were all kings and queens. We're so lucky we all found each other. That's what being adopted means. --- Pamela Espeland and Marilyn Waniek

Carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us

We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. -Kristi Larson
